David Aldo
After 7 #1 solo singles, being named Best Male Vocalist in South Africa and world tours opening for acts like Lionel Richie, after fronting the Grammy winning and Multi-Platinum selling iconic group Blood Sweat & Tears, David Aldo releases his newest album worldwide. His songs are currently on radio in the USA, the UK and South Africa.
The South African born, now Los Angeles resident has built a career on hit singles, world tours performing with international superstars and being dubbed the “Artist To The Stars” by being the first call performer for celebrity clientele such as Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe, James Caan, Clive Davis, Rod Stewart and Elton John as well as making his performances memorable around the world and from Beverly Hills to Newport Beach, California. His in-home performances are a hit with the Housewives of Beverly Hills and Orange County and the talk-of-the-town.
In 2012 David Aldo released his latest album ‘Halfway to Memphis’ co-produced with hit songwriter and award winning producer Steve Freeman. The first single ‘When You Love Someone So Much’ debuted at No. 26 in South Africa on its first week of release and eventually reached the #2 spot on International Pop Charts in South Africa and other countries. In the U.S., Canada and Australia the single “Grace”, from the same album, also garnered major radio airplay and debuted in the Top 30 in the United States. David’s current single “Where’s The Good In Goodbye” became Aldo’s 6th international #1 single in the summer of 2012 and ‘Grace’ reached No. 1 in early 2013.
David has toured the world performing and was pleased to be asked to open for Lionel Richie on his Africa tour in 2008, playing sold out venues and stadiums to over 80,000 fans. During the tour, his single ‘Someday’ topped the SA charts for 3 weeks at No.1 in August, and ‘Could’ve Been’ reached the No. 2 position. ‘Just You’ also went to No.1 which led to David opening up for Crosby, Stills and Nash and Natasha Beddingfield in New York in 2010. David has performed alongside Justin Bieber, John Mayer, Michael Bolton and David Foster to name a few. Most recently, David created the music for ‘The Good News Girls’ TV talk show for Nigel Lythgoe (American Idol and Dancing with the Stars) producer.
David supports multiple charities including The ‘Hisaoka Foundation’, helping people living with Cancer, (having helped raise over 10 million dollars), and ‘Project Child Save’, bringing awareness and saving kidnapped children sold into the sex trafficking trade. David is endorsed by Taylor guitars, Ultimate Ears and Shure microphone systems and has publishing interests in Nashville and Render Records as an artist and co-owner of the label. He lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife Lisa and their two children, Sherri and Christian.
